WELCOME TO KINGSMEAD PRIMARY SCHOOL

Kingsmead Primary School is a co-educational school for children between four and eleven years. It is a small, friendly and caring primary school, with a city centre location close to the River Stour.

The school was built in 1903 and is a fine example of an early Edwardian two storey brick built school. We are able to take advantage of the wonderful historic buildings in Canterbury, the museums, library, theatres, the Environment Centre and Kingsmead Leisure Centre.

As well as spacious classrooms the school has an adjacent large playing field and a computer suite with broadband internet access. We have close links with the local community including the library and museums, Cathedral Education Centre, bookshops, supermarkets and restaurants, as well the local secondary schools.
